Native to Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma, Texas Bluebonnet is related to Lupine. It also grows well in Florida but is not a native. 
 
Beautiful stalks of blue with white tips emerge in 1-2 foot stalks and make for an incredibly impressive display in both a field or garden setting. 
 
Drought tolerant and will tolerate alkaline and rocky soils
 
Scarify seeds by rubbing them between two sheets of sandpaper and soak in water for 24 hours prior to planting
