IMPORTANT: Many people ask me how I grow my zinnias so large. Similar to sunflowers, bloom size for these is HIGHLY dependent on nutrients and the right kind of nutrients. Phosphorous is what gives flowers their big showy blooms. You can use any bloom boosting fertilizer or what I prefer, which is bone meal. Just sprinkle it at the base of the plant, don't be shy about it, bone meal will not burn the plants and then just water it in. Do not allow plants to become root bound and avoid disturbing roots; transplant shock or other stress events may cause double-flowering varieties to produce single blooms for a period following stress. Please also note that all double flowering zinnias can have a handful of single blooming plants.

The largest zinnias of them all, at a reliable 5 inches across on 4 foot stems. These are show stoppers! Flowers are double layered, with a rounded dahlia-like appearance.

Shade is Lilac. Plants produce blooms in shades of lavender and lilac, a nice spectrum of light purples.

I’ve always loved Zinnias for their robust and colorful blooms. They are one of the easiest plants to grow.

These can be sown in a wide range of temperature, between 70 and 95 degrees. Seeds sprout in less than one week and grow quickly.

Spent flowers should be removed (or fresh for vases!) to encourage more blooming.

Can be grown in any zone as long as temperature requirements are met. Annual.
