PT411C Firecracker Penstemon
Penstemon eatonii, known by the common names Firecracker Penstemon and Eaton's Penstemon, is a perennial wildflower native to the western United States, particularly in dry, rocky habitats. It is very drought tolerant. Prefers full sun.
It's bright red, tubular flowers make it particularly attractive to hummingbirds. This is an absolutely essential plant in dry areas, where this is native, where nutrients can be otherwise scarce.
It is specifically native to the following states:
Arizona
California
Colorado
Idaho
Nevada
New Mexico
Utah
Wyoming
Grows from 1-2 feet tall
Like most all cooler climate perennials, the seeds require 30-60 days of cold to break dormancy, This can be achieved by planting the seeds in fall/winter for a spring emergence or folding the seeds into a moist paper towel and sealing them in a ziploc bag and placing them in your refrigerator for 30-60 days, then sow as normal.
This is for 100 seeds
