What an intriguing little fruit! Horned Melons or Kiwanis Jelly Melons are
Native to Africa and are like nothing you’ve ever tasted. Some people equate them to lime jello in texture with a sweet pomegranate taste with a touch of citrus. They are very high in Vitamin C.
Jelly Melons are in the melon(and therefore also cucumber family.) They are very easy to grow and can grow in a wide range of conditions and are extremely prolific producers.
Due to the size of the “Melons,” these are very easy to grow on a trellis to save space.
The fruit starts out greenish yellow and ripens to a bright sunny orange with electric green interior flesh that is smooth and refreshing.
