Indian Milkweed Seeds (Woollypod Milkweed – Asclepias eriocarpa)

Indian Milkweed, also known as Woollypod Milkweed, is a striking native perennial recognized for its soft, silvery-gray foliage and rounded clusters of pale pink to cream flowers. The entire plant has a velvety, woolly texture that gives it a distinctive presence in the landscape, especially in dry, open environments. Blooming in late spring to summer, this milkweed is an important nectar source for native pollinators and a host plant for monarch butterflies.

Naturally adapted to arid and semi-arid regions, Indian Milkweed thrives in well-drained soils and full sun, requiring very little water once established. Its deep roots make it resilient in drought conditions, while its sculptural form adds interest even when not in bloom. This is an excellent choice for native gardens, pollinator plantings, and restoration projects where true regional species matter.
