Desert Globemallow is a very beneficial us native wildflower that can handle conditions of extreme heat and drought. They also handle harsh conditions, including poor soil.

This is a great plant for xeriscaping, surviving desert conditions

It is native to Southern California, Southern Utah, parts of Colorado, Southern New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and Texas

The blooms range from orange to pink to red and resemble hibiscus

Reaches heights of 2 feet

Perennial zones 7-9

The seeds require no cold treatment but should be soaked in hot (180F) water which is allowed to cool over the course of 24 hours
