Tiger Eye is a rare heirloom dry bean known for its beautiful golden color and rich maroon swirls — true to its name. Beyond looks, it has a smooth, creamy texture that makes it a favorite in soups, stews, and refried beans. The flavor is mild, slightly nutty, and holds up well in cooking without falling apart.

Plants are bush-type and easy to grow, maturing in about 85–90 days. Sow seeds after your last frost date in full sun, about 1 inch deep and 4–6 inches apart, in well-drained soil. Avoid overwatering once pods begin to form. For dry beans, allow pods to remain on the plant until they are fully dry and rattle when shaken.

Please note: bean colors may appear more vivid when freshly harvested. As the beans cure and dry for storage, their tones naturally deepen or soften. This is normal and does not affect quality, taste, or viability.

A great variety for gardeners who want something unique, reliable, and delicious. Once you grow Tiger Eye, it might just become your favorite pantry bean.
