Brighten shady corners of your garden with the enchanting Rose Kauai Torenia (Torenia fournieri), also known as the Wishbone Flower. This compact annual is part of the popular Kauai series, bred for uniform growth, abundant blooms, and a long flowering season. Its velvety petals in deep cobalt blue with contrasting throats bring a jewel-toned brilliance to containers, hanging baskets, or shaded garden beds.

Torenia is prized for its ability to flower continuously even in shady spots. Its trailing, spreading habit makes it ideal for window boxes, patio containers, and garden edges. The unique “wishbone” stamens hidden inside each bloom add a touch of curiosity, making it a delightful plant for children and it is very attractive to pollinators. This plant re-seeds REALLY easily, making it feel like a perennial. I just love these for that reason and so many more. Its a bushy powerhouse of endless blooms.

This Torenia is named after Kauai, which is a Hawaiian island, famous for its gardens, greenery and waterfalls
