Sawsepal Penstemon Seeds (Penstemon glaber var. alpinus)

Sawsepal Penstemon is a hardy, cold-tolerant perennial native to the high mountains and alpine foothills of the American West. Compact clumps of glossy green foliage send up sturdy stems topped with deep blue to violet tubular flowers in late spring to early summer, providing an important nectar source for native bees and other pollinators. This alpine variety is naturally adapted to rocky soils, open meadows, and high-elevation slopes, where winters are long and drainage is excellent. Tough yet refined, Sawsepal Penstemon is an excellent choice for mountain gardens, native plantings, and water-wise landscapes that experience cold winters and cool summers.
