Perennial that returns every spring and stays until late fall! 
 
Most echinacea seeds need a period of cold stratification to break dormancy. The seeds can be planted in fall or winter (or when there is 30 days of cold weather left) or cold stratified in your refrigerator. To cold stratify, fold the seeds into a moist paper towel, and seal in a ziploc bag.
Remove after 30 days and sow as normal after danger or frost.
