One the coolest plants I’ve ever grown. Also known as bed of nails. Perfect showpiece plant if you want a large house plant that makes a statement.

It has a very pre-historic look, with massive, fuzzy spiked leaves reaching up to 2 feet long! The spikes are intimidating but actually bend. I was able to harvest the fruit without any scratches.

This plant was perfect for my jungle as it prefers part shade, rather unusual for a fruiting plant, but it is native to Columbia, where it grows as an understory plant.

Grows 6-10 feet tall, definitely a show piece.

I grew this from seed and had a fruiting plant in only 6 months.

The fruit appears on the stems and starts out as these perfectly spherical green fruits then eventually turn to orange when ripe.

The fruit is reminiscent of pineapple and had many edible seeds. Some say that they add sugar, but

I found the fruit to be very sweet and delicious all on its own.

Perennial zones 10-12, will not tolerate frost.

The plant is very attractive and makes for an excellent house plant with its low light requirements.

This is for 10 seeds
