A fascinating dwarf tree with fruit with a high sugar content. What is exciting about growing this tree is that you cannot find the fresh fruit in stores because it bruises easily. I grow mulberry for this same reason.

The fruit has an aroma similar to anise with a nectarine like taste. It is also commonly used in jams and alcoholic beverages. Besides the fruit, the tree is highly ornamental, adorned with berries with an interesting textures in various stages of ripeness from yellow to red.

The flowers are a very important nectar source for pollinators.

This is for 20 seeds. High germination at 98%. Seeds do require 60 days of cold stratification which can be achieved with a moist paper towel and refrigeration.
