Papyrus has a long history of use as paper in ancient Egypt. It is still used today as a novelty. It produces a beautiful high quality paper.

Papyrus makes for a great indoor plant and can handle part to full sun. It can be used in a water-terrarium feature as it requires no drainage. Papyrus is a bog or pond, water loving plant.

Can also be planted in an outdoor water garden, bog or pond in zones 9-12. Papyrus is great for large ponds as it will fill in nicely and quickly.

Grows to 18-48 inches, will remain smaller in containers.
