Yellow Scotch Bonnet Pepper Seeds – Fiery Heat with a Fruity Kick
Bring Caribbean heat and flavor to your garden with the Yellow Scotch Bonnet Pepper. Famous for its distinctive bonnet-like shape, this pepper is one of the most beloved hot peppers in the world.
Closely related to the habanero, the Yellow Scotch Bonnet delivers intense heat balanced by a unique fruity-sweet undertone that makes it essential in Caribbean cooking. Its fruity flavor pairs beautifully with mango, pineapple, or citrus for sauces that balance fire with sweetness. A single pepper adds depth to stews, salsas, and curries, while homemade Scotch Bonnet hot sauce is a true taste of the islands.

Most people don’t know that the trick to big healthy peppers that you see in the store is calcium! Peppers require calcium to reach their maximum potential and to help them combat pests naturally.Use your spent eggshells or garden gypsum to add calcium to the soil in addition to vegetable fertilizer. I use organic chicken manure based fertilizer.
Do not plant peppers where you just previously planted tomatoes, eggplant or potatoes as this can make them more susceptible to disease as they are all from
the same family. The pests that are attracted to these plants can remain in the soil for a while and build up and cause problems for future crops. They also use the same nutrients and can deplete the soil of what they need in particular if planted in the same spot. It’s always good as a general rule to add fresh soil and rotate all crops.
